I congratulate the committee on a thorough report! Mill #5 is an historic treasure. I feel strongly that it is worth the additional investment of time and money to find the right development opportunity for the building.

The economic market probably is too soft right now to move ahead on such a large development project. Since the least expensive option is to do nothing, I think that is what we should do for the immediate future.

But only do nothing with the building. We should move forward to develop a comprehensive plan to look for development ideas.

This committe has fulfilled its mission. As much as I hate to ask for another downtown committee, I think it is time for a JOINT DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE.

ANYTHING that is done with Mill #5 will impact Lewiston and Auburn downtown development. This should be a SHARED vision with shared costs.

I will certainly step forward to help, if that is the direction that is taken.

Thank you.
